We’re seeking a Piping Condition Assessment and Rehabilitation Engineer to assist with and/or lead planning, evaluation, engineering, design, and construction support services for a variety of related projects. In this role, you’ll work with other members of our local, regional, and national teams to perform specialized engineering assignments for piping and utility system projects of varied sizes, configurations, and capacities, and for a variety of potential clients. Piping and utility system condition assessment and rehabilitation engagements may involve potable water, wastewater, irrigation, hydropower, and stormwater applications, supporting water transmission, distribution, collection, treatment facilities, flood control, industrial facilities, or other purposes. This work includes assessment, evaluation, planning, and design related to condition assessment and rehabilitation of pipelines and utility systems, including the development of design drawings, specifications, asset management plans, and technical reports. You will evaluate existing pipeline and utility system performance, operations, and condition to provide recommendations on rehabilitation and replacement of associated infrastructure systems, including “trenchless” pipeline rehabilitation and replacement approaches. For this work, you will coordinate with other project disciplines, direct the work of CADD designers and other engineering staff, and conduct occasional field activities such as site assessment, data collection, analysis, documentation, and construction support.
Depending on project size and complexity, you’ll have the opportunity to serve as a technical subject matter expert, task lead, design manager, and/or in project management roles performing technical tasks, quality control, and coordinating the use of resources to support multiple, concurrent projects through all phases of planning, execution, and closeout. You’ll also contribute to client engagement and development, and professional services marketing, sales, and business development pursuits.
