Final Inspection Specialist
Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
- Receive material into inventory and inspect for defects or irregularities using a variety of measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Inspect product for cosmetic flaws and/or damage prior to shipping.
- Maintain accurate records in Oracle and eDHR including notes, scrap, rejects, hold tags, and shipping documents.
- Communicate with production staff regarding quality issues found during inspection.
- Train new employees on procedures and processes related to receiving, inspection, and shipping.
- Participate in cross functional teams to address root causes identified through quality inspections.
- Work collaboratively with Production Management to implement solutions for quality concerns.
- Conduct periodic audits of inspection processes and provide feedback to supervisors.
- Coordinate activities between departments such as Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Shipping, and Maintenance.
- Review work orders and ensure proper documentation has been completed before releasing products.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required, Associates degree preferred.
- Minimum two years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized, detail oriented, self motivated, and able to multi-task effectively.
- Experience with Oracle or eDHR software is desirable.
