What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Ensure adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and all Stackpole International policies and industry standards.
  • Provide design, production, and documentation developments for electrical power and distribution systems, controls, and machine safety.
  • Create and maintain documentation for new and existing assembly lines.
  • Create and update electrical schematics for new and current projects.
  • Select and size components.
  • Design safety diagrams, panel and machine layouts, and pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
  • Design and document electrical automation systems.
  • Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work with suppliers to specify proper components.
  • Create, modify, and maintain electrical build standards.
  • Support machine build activities.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic circuits.
  • Work closely with controls technicians during setup and development of PLC, robots, and vision systems

What We’re Looking For:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in producing electrical schematic drawings.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels of the organization.
  • Critical thinking to identify issues, present solutions, and follow through to ensure completion.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadline requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
  • Very good knowledge and understanding of basic and advanced control components like PLC, panel and field I/O modules, VFDs, servo systems, etc.
  • Understanding of safety circuits and requirements, including networked safety.
  • Familiarity with controls networks (Ethernet/IP, EtherCat, I/O link, ASi, etc.).
  • Understanding of electrical code, components, and wire sizing.
