Job responsibilities
- Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
- Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
- Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
- Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
- Accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications
- NoSQL Cassandra DB (Analyzes, designs, engineers, installs, configures and supports Database Management systems in support of business technology requirements; Includes an in depth knowledge of a core database technology and its internals plus knowledge of development practices and automated solutions with focus on customer self-service through API enablement, provisioning, resiliency and database performance)
- Production support with SRE/DevOps Process
- AWS Knowledge and Terraform exposure.
- Develops, Tests, and debugs automated software deliverables for Applications, Systems, and or Infrastructures
- Troubleshoots Major Incidents, contributes to blameless post-mortems.Engages within the SRE/Engineering team throughout the software development and participates in major code contributions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments
- Strong knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
- Experience with multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
- Drives to develop infrastructure engineering knowledge of additional domains, data fluency, and automation knowledge
- Proficient in at least one software language (e.g. Python, Java, Go, etc.) with respect to designing, coding, testing, and software delivery.
- Demonstrates stronknowledge of one or more infrastructure components. (E.g. networking, cloud services, orchestration tools, containerized systems, compute and storage systems)
- Experience in using software development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GIT/Bitbucket & Jenkins
- Production support with SRE/DevOps process
- AWS Knowledge and Terraform exposure.
