Your key responsibilities
Business Product Owners and Business Product Managers will be aligned with products / product workstreams based on experiences and core competencies. In these roles, successful candidates will:
- Work with teams across the global to set the vision and determine detailed requirements.
- Interact with internal and external designers to create a compelling and exciting user experience.
- Partner with our internal methodology and certification teams to understand how your product(s) can smartly fit within EY Audit and Assurance methodologies and standards.
- Working as a team with your technology counterpart, ensure that the solutions envisaged are built in a robust and scalable way.
- Spend time with pilot teams to understand their journey through the product and the benefits they’ve observed on their engagements.
- Manage successful deployment and activation – as well as monitoring and measurement of product releases and gathering of user and client feedback.
- Drive ongoing iteration of future product upgrades and releases.
- Share best practices with other product owners and workstreams.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have
Overall, candidates will have significant audit / accounting related business experience (e.g. graduate degree in accounting and relevant local accounting designation – e.g. CPA). Candidates will also have a background or strong interest in technology, innovation or product development. Specific finance system knowledge, programming experience is not required, but is desirable.
- You have prior experience of working in an Assurance / Audit role or alongside accountants / auditors – enabling you with an understanding of accounting processes, activities, risks and data.
- You are excited by the prospect of working with a global team comprised of professionals from diverse backgrounds; and you strive to learn and operate in line with EY’s culture and EY’s values.
- Experience in presenting solutions and proposals to large groups, with an ability to articulate strategic objectives and technical detail with ease.
- You regularly demonstrate an interest and ability to learn more about EY’s business, EY’s client’s businesses, and technology. You apply learnings to help improve the quality and connectivity of your work.
- You have experience dealing with ambiguity, or working outside your comfort zone, with a mix of business and technology professionals towards a common goal.
- Strong attention to detail, as is required in a regulated business environment, based on previous experiences.
- Ability to travel, participate in workshops and attend larger forums in international settings (primary geographies: Europe and America).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Analytics, Collaboration and Automation technologies
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience working in a team developing software products
- Technical background with experience developing in one or more programming languages (for interest, EY typically operates on the Microsoft stack, and makes extensive use of MS Azure cloud)
- Experience demonstrating or presenting software/tools to internal or external stakeholders

The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary ranges.
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $163,400 to $373,300. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $196,100 to $424,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
