In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and defining user/customer requirements while focusing on developing user interfaces (UI) across various platforms including mobile, web, and tablets. You will engage in coding, programming, and creating specifications to deliver development services that align with business requirements.
Your key responsibilities
As a Manager in Application Design and Development, you will lead the effective management and delivery of processes, solutions, and projects, ensuring a strong focus on quality and risk management. To qualify for the role, you must have
- A Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree).
- Typically, no less than 4 - 6 years of relevant experience working with SAP SuccessFactors system.
- SAP SuccessFactors certification in Employee Central Core.
- Experience with at least two full cycle implementations of Employee Central.
- Proficient in application development tools.
- Experience in quality assurance and testing.
- Knowledgeable in the system development lifecycle.
- Experience in defining, analyzing, and mapping technology business requirements.
- Familiar with test-driven development methodologies.

Ideally, you’ll also have
- Extensive expertise in EC configuration, including foundation and MDF objects, data models (standard and country-specific), position management, employment structures, and EC-specific workflows, with a strong understanding of effective dating, UI rules, security, and global requirements, and overall project management.
- Expertise and technical leadership in business rules, workflows, and security management with proven ability to write and troubleshoot complex business rules, design dynamic multi-step workflows, and implement role-based permissions (RBP) with precision—including for custom MDF objects, field-level security, and support scenarios like ESS/MSS.
- Experience in data handling, reporting, and testing, including data migration, reporting with ad-hoc and canvas tools, and developing comprehensive test plans to validate EC and cross-module functionality throughout project lifecycles.
- Leadership skills and experience in designing and leading discovery and fit-gap sessions, translating business needs into scalable EC solutions, collaborating across modules and integrations, and leveraging SAP best practices and activate methodology.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end implementation phases, including cutover planning, knowledge transfer, hyper-care, and ongoing optimization, using tools like Admin Alerts, Health Check, and defect analysis for continual improvement.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $142,600 to $261,500. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $171,200 to $297,200. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
