JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
Experience with the film and television distribution, intellectual property/agreement law, and agreement drafting.
Preferred qualifications:
4 years of experience in the broadcast or cable television industry.
Experience advising, drafting and negotiating complex commercial transactions and content license agreements in the broadcast or cable television industry.
Experience with emerging forms of content distribution, including direct-to-consumer and advertiser supported content distribution.
Familiarity with licensing various types of content including film, television, and sports rights.
Understanding of the United States communications law.
Ability to escalate and present key issues to senior management.
