As a Cloud Solution Architect, you will assist customers in achieving their digital transformation objectives. You will serve as an advisor to help customers modernize and innovate their application landscape. Responsibilities include leading technical architecture and design sessions and contributing to a customer success plan that supports the transformation of their application estate. This role requires continuous updating of technical skills in the latest AI-integrated technologies from GitHub and Microsoft, and combining technical knowledge with business understanding to foster customer relationships. This position involves both technical expertise and business acumen.

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND first professional experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies and software development/support/consulting
  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional Qualifications:

• First experience working in a customer-facing role (internal and/or external).
• First experience working on software projects (internal and/or external).
• Foundational Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
• Proficient in at least one programming language, e.g. C#, Java, Golang, Rust, JavaScript or Python with associated frameworks.
• First Experience with developer tooling such as Visual Studio, VSCode, Azure DevOps and GitHub and/or competitive tools.

Customer Centricity

• Support the adoption and technological enablement of customers by understanding their business and IT objectives, and defining how Microsoft's cloud-native, DevOps, AI, and low-code capabilities can contribute to positive outcomes.
• Act as the voice of the customer by driving new feedback into engineering and generating new insights on usage and application patterns.
• Coordinate with other Microsoft cloud solution architects to ensure that customers can leverage deep subject matter expertise across all technological areas.
• Ensure that customer solutions exhibit in performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and reliability upon deployment.

Business Impact

• Contribute to Azure revenue goals. Guide customer workloads in production and support solution deployments through customer-invested enablement packages. While ensuring that customers get value from their Microsoft investments.
• Drive customer/partner relationships to anticipate, identify, escalate, and work to resolve technical blockers to accelerate consumption and solution implementations.

Technical Leadership

• Learn new technologies or services that are aligned to customer needs and common patterns seen in cloud native application development.
• Lead architecture and design discussions with key technical stakeholders at our customers.
