This position will require a high level of autonomy and effective communication as well as the management of multiple projects in parallel.
BS/MS/PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering
Minimum 3 years experience in relevant industry
High attention to detail, fastidious management of large quantities of details, solution-driven mindset to manage projects to successful completion
Demonstrated ability to independently drive multiple projects, setting priorities and deliver results
Effective written and verbal communication skills, providing technical expertise and updates on project milestones
Strong materials fundamentals in extractive metallurgy and process-structure-properties-performance relationships
Knowledge of lifecycle assessment (LCA) methods, industrial ecology, and carbon foot-printing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to use statistical tools and techniques
Experience in metal production technology or process development (e.g. beneficiation, smelting, refining, recycling)
Experience conducting or interpreting lifecycle assessments for carbon foot-printing purposes
