Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
·8+ years international tax experience in a multinational corporation and/ or Big 4 environment.
·3+ years experience in pharmaceutical/biotech or other R&D/IP intensive industry.
·Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
·CPA, Chartered Accountant, Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting, or equivalent preferred.
·Extensive experience in European local country income tax matters and transfer pricing.
·Ability to manage the quarterly provision process for the European entity group.
·Ability to align US GAAP, statutory financial statements and local country income tax returns and reporting with the company's European tax principal structure.
·Solid accounting background and skills; ability to identify, research and resolve tax technical and tax accounting issues.
·Experience engaging in discussions with tax authorities.
·Strong aptitude for working with complex data and strong analytical skills required.
·Proven project management, organization and prioritization skills.
·Personal drive to identify and resolve issues involving multiple subsidiaries and intercompany transactions.
·Demonstrates understanding of all aspects of the tax life cycle: Tax Planning, Accounting, Reporting, and Controversy.
·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support collaboration with tax team colleagues located in the US.
·Excellent skills in MS Excel.
·Experience with OneSource, SAP and Hyperion is preferred.
·Ability to travel within European region.
·Excellent English skills, both written and verbal. French written and verbal skills are a plus.
