Description
You will work on the mechanical design, integration and validation of the next generation of Apple Watch touch sensors. You would work and learn alongside a talented group from many engineering fields including electrical engineering, thin-films, quality, process, reliability, and more. As your expertise grows within the role, you will inform hardware design that will shape and create new customer experiences.
Key Qualifications
- At least 4+ years of experience in a mechanical design, failure analysis, or validation role.
- Ability to inform design intent (requirements) and define path-to-validation.
- Ability to leverage various analysis techniques (tolerance analysis, FEA, CT, X-ray, FIB/SEM/EDX, Monte Carlo, design-of-experiments, etc.) to inform root cause.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse cross-functional team and external vendors to achieve project goals.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills are required.
- Familiarity with building 3D CAD and drafting 2D technical drawings is required.
- Strong technical curiosity and desire to learn is required.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis in MATLAB or JMP is preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with sensor technology, analog/digital signals, flex circuits, IC packaging is preferred, but not required.
Education & Experience
BS and a minimum of 4 years relevant industry experience
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
