- Leveraging expertise to develop and lead new product development, providing new growth opportunities in addition to supporting existing 3M products and businesses

- Applying understanding of polymers, adhesives and material properties to develop new bonding materials andmanufacturing processes

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Engineering and Material Science (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
- Five (5) years of technology or product development experience with polymers, adhesives, composites and/or films, in a private, public, government or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- PhD Technical expertise in organic or polymer chemistries and composite systems, adhesives and analytical characterization techniques of polymers/composites including rheology
- Proven leader with ability to communicate clearly across functions, including lab, manufacturing, and business teams
- Experience in technology or product development including phase-gate commercialization processes
- Experience in IP generation and portfolio management
- Skills include excellent written and verbal communication, networking, interpersonal and leadership skills
