Leads factory engineering technical deep dives & options analysis & risk assessments for green field and brown field engineering projects
Gathers and develops a deep understanding of stakeholder requirements needed to identify potential hazards and operability issues in early factory development
Defines & effectively communicates factory design safety & hazard prioritization for internal and external factory engineering teams
Owns execution of high-quality risk assessments & risk management deliverables
Facilitate risk assessments and work with external consultants/ partners as needed to conduct risks assessments such as HAZOP, What-IF, PHA, and other risk assessment methods
Lead efforts for modeling scenarios and working with external consultants/ partners as needed to conduct modeling such as CFD, FDS, PHAST, Canary, iPRISM, ALOHA, and other risk modeling tools
Leads follow-through reviews/ coordination to ensure identified risks & mitigation efforts have been included in engineering design
Supports technical studies such as feasibility and value engineering exercises related to safety & risk management
Assist in Hazardous Chemical management program as required
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams within Architectural/Engineering/ Process Engineering firms to identify and implement PSM engineering requirements
Full understanding of core engineering disciplines and ability to demonstrate skills to manage and facilitate engineering resources
Experience designing manufacturing facilities, Chemical Process, Battery, Oil & Gas, or Semiconductor
Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to understand complex problems and distill the message into a clear plan
PHA/HAZOP/What-If facilitation or technical evaluation experience highly desired
Dispersion analysis, flammability analysis, consequence modeling, combustible dust hazards, reactive hazard analyses & evaluation, is a plus
