JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, you will support the Redmond factory and all the processes used to be build and test our existing processes, and work with design engineering to design and implement new or updated processes. You will be responsible for performing data analytics to identify opportunities for improvement and developing project plans to realize these improvements. Additionally, you will be involved in creating capital requests and tracking the purchase, installation, and factory release of new equipment.

In this role, you will also serve as a mentor to other team members, providing guidance on data analytics and design choices to ensure the success of their projects. Redmond places a high value on Six Sigma and Lean principles, and you will have the opportunity to become a Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean expert. This expertise will support not only the engineering team but also quality, planning, and operations on any kaizen events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform data analytics to identify opportunities for improvement in manufacturing processes
  • Develop project plans to realize improvement opportunities
  • Create capital requests and track the purchase, installation, and factory release of new equipment
  • Mentor other team members in their projects, providing guidance on data analytics and design choices
  • Create and maintain relationships with experts at other sites and include them in problem resolution as the need arises.
  • Collaborate with quality, planning, and operations teams on kaizen events

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 10+ years of experience supporting a factory, being on the floor, process-oriented.
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics and project management
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean principles
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or Chemical.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Master certification
