Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on Infrastructure Engineer concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
- Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
- Network Domain Expert knowledge of the service, functional area or Infrastructure supported and interdependencies.
- Experience in Network Operation production and infrastructure support. Understand Network infrastructure components and how they are tracked and managed in various systems.
- Network CCIE Certification is a requirement
- Expert in Multicast, low latency networks, and market data related technologies.
- Strong experience in Protocol Analyzers (Cpacket, BigSwtich, Wireshark, Riverbed).
- Strong experience in capacity/monitoring management tools (Splunk, SevOne, Thousand Eyes).
- Ability to use (or learn) scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, etc.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal
- Executes within a customer-centric environment.
- Proven experience managing various large-scale enterprise network topologies including Routing & Switching (Cisco & Arista LAN, WAN & MAN), Datacenter Technologies (Nexus, ASR, VXLAN, Cisco ACI, Arista Fabric), Wireless (Cisco Prime), Network Security & Services (Firewall Fortinet/Check Point), F5 Load Balancers (LTM, GTM, ASM), Proxy (Blue Coat), Optical Transport (Cisco/Ciena), Etc. Certifications in these areas preferred.
- Certification on Firewall (Checkpoint/Fortinet), F5 Load balancer, Proxy, etc will be added advantage.
