Description
- Frequent interactions with contract manufacturers/vendors; developing SOPs, debug instructions, and documentation
Minimum Qualifications
- MS in Engineering or related discipline (or BS + 5 years professional experience)
- 3+ years professional experience (or equivalent) in design, development, debug, validation and working with electro-mechanical systems
- Working knowledge of consumer electronics modules like transducers: sensors (light/force/pressure/touch/motion) and/or acoustics (speaker/microphone)
- Basic understanding of hardware concepts and EE fundamentals (i.e. HW architecture, block diagrams and schematic design, debug interfaces, etc.)
- Programming skills in one or more of the following: C/C++/Objective-C, along with scripting knowledge (Python, Lua)
- Knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP)
- Experience analyzing and processing large data sets
- Domestic and international travel may be required (up to 10%)
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in design, development, debug, validation and working with electro-mechanical systems
- Understanding of test principles, GRR, experience with test automation and optimization
- Experience in high volume consumer electronics manufacturing
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to manage many priorities across multiple disciplines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $128,300 and $237,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
