DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Analyze business problems and regulatory requirements to provide innovative solutions using software engineering practices. Translate business requirements to user stories and tasks for tech teams to implement and deliver as a part of sprint. Engage in all aspects of software development life cycle (SDLC), starting with requirement gathering and analysis, designing solutions by evaluating various approaches with the help of architectural standard, documenting functional requirement specifications and design specifications, coordinating user testing as well as sign off process. Maintain product backlog with all functional and technical requirements and brainstorm with Product owners to define project priorities. Implement agile concepts and processes within the team, ensure each sprint delivers incremental value, conduct all sprint ceremonies and review agile metrics. Identify and troubleshoot application issues, user errors and code issues as well as provide supports to users ad-hoc queries. Participate in code review and user testing to ensure developed solutions are aligned to predefined architectural specifications. Work closely with tech teams to explore various implementation approaches, review designs and outline proposed solutions. Solve complex business problems by exploring product features. Work with product teams to enhance products with new features. Run agile framework by facilitating backlog refinement sessions. Improve agile sprint process for better visibility and execution.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered Software Engineer, IT Analyst, System Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Functional analysis of financial derivative products; Creating user stories and acceptance criteria in agile environment; Query building using SQL; Java/J2EE development using JSP, JavaScript, and HTML; Handling production environment deployment activities; Resolving user queries; Oracle 11g; PostgreSQL; pgAdmin; AWS Athena; PL/SQL; SQL developer; Toad; Atlassian JIRA; Confluence; SharePoint; Sharefile.
