- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting cloud-based networks.
- 5 years of experience with cloud networking platforms (GCP) and network automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.), network architectures, and cloud networking services (VPCs, load balancers, firewalls, etc.).
Preferred qualifications:
- Professional certification for Cloud networking (e.g. Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer) or other network certifications (CCNA, CCIE).
- Experience in scalable networking design including high availability, redundancy, failover and load balancing.
- Experience troubleshooting networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/S and BGP.
- Experience with one or more third-party networking products (e.g., PANW, Fortinet, VMWare Cloud Foundation).
- Experience with Cloud-based Kubernetes network architectures (e.g., GKE, EKS, AKS).
- Understanding of hybrid cloud or network security.
