Initiate and manage improvement projects to increase reliability and reduce Opex.
Technical lead in expansion and/or temporary utility projects (from design to execution).
Lead Commissioning activities in collaboration with EPC Team and ensure proper start of operation.
Assist/lead the troubleshooting of system operational issues.
Drive continuous improvement through data-driven optimization and collaborate with EPC teams during design reviews to ensure scalable and compliant solutions.
Complete monthly system operational cost analysis.
Review trends, analyze data, and monitor equipment/systems to identify trends and ensure they are running within specifications.
Responsible for monitoring current system data demands and utility capacity concerns.
Develop solutions to reduce operational costs and/or o improve operational performance of utility systems.
Create & modify standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Train facilities personnel on new systems and correct operations.
Apply Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) concepts and root cause failure analysis.
Work with EHS Team to ensure/resolve local environmental and safety compliance of systems.
Develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies/programs for systems.
What You’ll Bring
4+ years in chemical engineering, process engineering, or similar roles, preferably in Battery production facilities or manufacturing environments such as chemical plants, petrochemical facilities, oil & gas.
High EHS awareness required with a proven track record of prioritizing environmental, health, and safety compliance in high-risk manufacturing sectors.
General understanding of organic and inorganic interactions, chemical separation/filtration methods, and molecular behavior. Familiarity with volatile organic compounds (VOC) is a plus.
Preferably previous experience in manufacturing facilities in Germany.
Communication and presentation skills are crucial.
