The ideal candidate will be a confident, independent communications professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably from a corporate or agency background and with proven track record of driving communications success. This individual should have outstanding executive presence and a keen interest in understanding a business, a strong orientation toward process and organization, and the ability to influence partners and clients in a highly matrixed corporate environment. Outstanding written and verbal communication are required, as is mastery of English and Associated Press Style. Experience in technology & innovation communications and supporting technology-focused executives is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead communications strategy, counsel, and delivery for assigned senior leaders to strengthen employee engagement and Honeywell’s positioning as a leading technology company.
- Support major software initiatives, organization transitions, leadership changes, and other transformation steps through innovative and effective communication plans that address the needs of varied audiences and stakeholders.
- Support cross-company measurement of communications effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Raise the bar on the quality of communications by guiding content strategies that result in elegantly simple, visually compelling, and easily understandable communications.
- Oversee and contribute to editorial planning/development in support of Honeywell’s drive for innovation.
- Lead communications support for the software events.
- Support the Corporate team’s execution of the annual senior level meetings, quarterly Global Town Meetings, and functional town halls, as appropriate.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Minimum 10+ years of demonstrated successful experience in external and internal communications in a corporate or an agency environment.

- Intimate understanding of social media, especially LinkedIn, and an advanced understanding of how best to leverage channels such as Yammer to promote employee engagement.

- The ability to handle pressures and demands from multiple clients and competing priorities.
