AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER: STORAGE CORE PLATFORM YOU WILL:
Solve real, pressing business needs at scale by applying your software engineering skills, as well as analytical problem solving and collaboration skills
Lay the foundation for Storage core platforms’ observability roadmap, from design to production
Collaborate closely with multiple engineering teams to design and build new technologies that will unlock new revenue streams and maximize existing ones by providing deeper insights, improving performance, and reliability of the systems that underpin all of the Snowflake.
Participate in on-call rotation and shape the strategy for continuing to keep the on-call load low, while enabling 10x growth
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
5+ years relevant industry experience working on distributed persistent systems, or equivalent
Have fluent, high quality coding skills, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems

Previous experience in setting and delivering internal service metrics that represent the customer experience, that inform further improvements to the product.
Have experience in systems programming including multi-threading, concurrency, etc. Fluency in C++ or Java (or other similar procedural object-oriented language) is preferred
Have experience with at least one of the public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) as a plus.
The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:
The estimated base salary range for this role is $214,000 - $327,700.
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.
