Reporting to theMechanical EngineerResponsible for designing, validating, and implementing innovative and cost-effective product solutions of complex scope to support the organization in prototype development through full-scale production.
What a typical day looks like:
- Apply complex design practices and procedures to assigned product portfolio in areas like sheet metal design/fabrication, soft tooling processes (sheet metalstamping/fabrication,tig/mig/spot welding) and equipment; telecom infrastructure products such as chassis, cabinets, racks, shelving, etc.
- Integrate multiple elements of finished design (such asbackplane/interconnect,power distribution, and thermal management).
- Work with other members of the development team to support corporate design initiatives.
- Prepare recommendations for production and technology roadmaps that support customer expectations.
- Assist in generating production and technology roadmaps that support customer expectations.
- Support actively customer base with design improvements that enhance manufacturability and assembly while minimizing costs.
- Provide complex technical support to customer base to enhance manufacturability and assembly while minimizing costs.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team,
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
- Great communication skills
- Microsoft office.
