In this role, you will:
- Perform tax accounting activities related to the preparation of federal, state and local customer information tax reporting returns.
- Prepare routine tax work papers, reconciliations, responses to internal information requests, research memos and correspondence.
- Maintain required records related to customer information reporting tax returns and reports.
- Receive direction from manager and exercise independent judgment while developing basic knowledge of federal and state and local customer information reporting tax laws, rulings, regulations.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, managers and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications, US:
- 6+ months of Corporate Tax experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Customer Information Reporting - W-9 and W-8 validation concepts, back-up withholding processes and year-end 1099 reporting routines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in tax operations, tax risk mitigation, or tax compliance in a large financial institution.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
