What you’ll be doing:

• Responsible for defining optical component design rules, process flow, and material sets.

• Lead optical component development to establish manufacturability and reliability.

• Drive component qualification activities from initial concept to production.

• Work closely with offshore fab, assembly, test, and connector partners.

• Collaborate with multi-functional teams within NVIDIA and define optical packaging requirements.

What we need to see:

• Bachelor degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related fields or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years optical interconnect experience.

• Knowledge in optical connector assembly and optical termination standards.

• Basic photonic device knowledge.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Working knowledge of mechanical simulation software like Ansys mechanical or Abacus.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Experience in using optical simulation software like Lumerical or Zemax.

• Solid understanding of AutoCad.

• Basic understanding of flip chip packaging.

• Experience with data through python or SQL.

• Working level knowledge of Microsoft Office.
