About the job:
As an Associate Customer Support Specialist you will be the first point of contact for Red Hat customers, who need help using our products. Support requests will come via Chat, support cases, telephone or web ticket. You will need to investigate the problem, and work closely with our Technical Support Engineers, to find a resolution. You will study for professional certifications such as RHCSA and RHCE, and receive lots of work based training. As your career at Red Hat progresses, you will learn to solve a wide range of issues on your own.
What will you do?
Communication with Red Hat customers regarding technical support
Getting cross-trained on the Customer Service process.
Work with Red Hat enterprise customers across the globe on 24x7 basis that requires one to work in different shifts periodically
Diagnosis, troubleshooting, resolution, and/or escalation of issues
Working as a collaborative team member, who puts the customer first and is keen to proactively find solutions
Researching customer issues, and recording information in our knowledge base for future use
A commitment to learning and professional development, which is likely to include studying for Red Hat certifications (e.g. RHCSA, RHCE) in your own time
What will you bring?
Experience in IT, gained either through relevant education or work experience
Exceptional customer service skills, with experience working in a customer facing environment
A passion for problem solving and investigation, coupled with the ability to critically analyze complex issues
Ability to multitask, prioritize and work under pressure * Strong verbal, aural and written communications skills
1+ years of experience using Linux or hands-on linux OS is a must
