Architect automated test equipment, produce detailed-level CAD models, pneumatic diagrams, and verify designs using structural and thermal FEA and CFD
Lead conceptual equipment development and carefully balance product specifications, process requirements, layout complexity, cost, and lead-time limits
Review, identify, and provide feedback on performance, design simplicity, robustness, assembly, and installation
Analyze system constraints and propose innovative solutions
Support building, debugging, validation and equipment duplication efforts, and fine-tune equipment for release to production. Conduct detailed testing and validation of installed machinery to ensure robustness and quality
Perform on-site and off-site acceptance testing (SAT/FAT) of test equipment
Mentor junior mechanical engineers to deliver high quality automation equipment
What You’ll Bring
8+ years of experience in mechanical, mechatronics, or automation engineering with expertise in automation, machine design, robotics, and product development
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Proven ability to transition products and processes from prototype to production
Strong knowledge of solid mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, material selection, prototyping, testing methods, machining, and fabrication
Hands-on experience with test systems, production machinery, and industrial sensors such as pogo-pins, pressure transducers, temperature controllers, and current meters
Skilled in SolidWorks, PDM, Ansys, or similar CAD/CAE software, with experience preparing technical requirements for automated equipment
Strong leadership, collaboration, and mentoring experience, with project management skills and willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally
