Ensure visibility of supply for respective components and partner with Global Supply Managers and Supplier Industrialization Engineers to resolve issues with supplier execution and delivery
Build and manage respective supplier relationships at the management and operational level to manage performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution
Lead supplier improvements in scalability, cost, and quality, and provide leadership for New Product Introduction
Facilitate communication and clarification of technical requirements between Suppliers and Tesla Purchasing, Quality, and Design teams
Accountable for leading, tracking and improving supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products and design changes
Play a lead role in managing and resolving shortage and/or allocation issues in material supply affecting regional operations
Lead change management activity for regional supply with responsibility for: cross-functional coordination with Global Supply Management, Engineering, and Production teams; supplier management and negotiation; and execution of material launch
Evaluate supplier business proposals and present recommendations that will result in cost savings, avoidance, or containment
Work collaboratively with Global Supply Managers, Supply Chain Group Managers, Supplier Industrialization Engineers, and other Tesla Supply Chain partners globally
Evaluate and provide guidance on final selection of suppliers, support value analysis for final selection of suppliers
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
Previous experience managing safety critical parts, wiring harness, or power distribution commodities
Excellent program management, written and verbal skills
Automotive or electronics background is a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
