What you`ll do

You will work with a team responsible for managing all systems and operations for our cloud-based web solutions. You will work with a globally distributed and diverse team whose mission is to delivery highly available world-class web solutions. We run SAP.com.

Your core responsibilities will be:

  • Be a core system engineer responsible for operational delivery of our cloud-based platforms.
  • Collaborate with other technology teams and business partners as needed
  • Provide day-to-day support of software, standard changes and production fixes through the change control process
  • Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
  • Develop, monitor, improve automation at all levels of the DevOps processes
  • Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats

You will report to the head of development & engineering for Digital Platforms within the Demand Generation organization of Corporate Processes and Information Technology (CP&IT). You will work closely with our Digital Platforms Senior System Engineer and other team members.

What you bring

Core job requirements:

  • Minimum five years of experience as a web/cloud system engineer.
  • Deep experience with the entire web development lifecycle.
  • Background in web content management
  • Solid understanding of web security and compliance
  • Excellent background in managing DevOps CI/CD environment from the repository level to production release.
  • Experience working with all layers of the network stack from global traffic management down to content-delivery network to firewalls to cache.
  • Proficient communicating in English; secondary language is a plus but not required
