is designed to give interns a holistic view of what Stratasys has to offer from a multitude of departments. Our 12-week paid program begins in May and goes through mid-August. During the program each intern is embedded in real time projects, which they contribute to or even lead depending on their experience level. Our Campus team helps to educate, train, and grow our interns through Monthly activity such as 3D printing trainings, Lunch & Learn seminars, and Coffee Talks with department leaders. We also try hosting offsite team building activities to promote networking among the group through volunteer events.

will spend most of their time assisting manufacturing engineering staff with process improvement, operations improvement, and analyzing data. Working with manufacturing engineering staff the intern may also be involved in product development and analysis projects and perform process testing using a variety of instructions.

What you will be doing:

  • Work with the engineering team to support enterprise orders and general process improvements
  • Help design tooling and fixtures and provide written instructions and training on their use
  • Analyze nonconformance reports and recommend process changes to reduce scrap
  • Write and maintain work instructions, BOMs, process specifications, and reports
  • Propose and implement optimizations to existing work cells and provide input for future large-scale facilities changes
  • Collaborate with a global software team and the local operations group to automate data streams by utilizing APIs and SDKs
  • Analyze historical data to modify the existing preventative maintenance structures to reduce machine downtime
  • Work with multiple teams and facilities to streamline cross-functional collaboration

Must have for this role:

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing and product manufacturing processes
  • Local to Minnesota or able to relocate without assistance to the Minnetonka, MN area

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Additive Manufacturing
  • Capable of learning various analysis tools, methods of process, both software and hardware-related
  • Capable of preparing reports and publications and performing analytical reviews
  • Capable of using power tools and measuring devices
  • Preferred Major(s):Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Engineering, Operations Management
