This role is a critical member of the Chief Data Office – Data Tooling Strategy function.

Responsibilities

  • Develops strategies and guidelines for the definition and maintenance of Data Profiling, Data Quality Rules, configuration, and execution of DQ Assessments, monitoring of DQ operations and of DQ results including DQ actions to remedy DQ breakages, and consolidation and reporting of DQ results.
  • Develops strategies and guidelines for the definition and maintenance of Data Tracing requirements and documents starting from a specified Consumption point through origination of data.
  • Fully understands strategies and guidelines for the definition and maintenance of Business Glossaries, and Data Quality Requirements (DQR).
  • Fully understands strategies and guidelines around data ownership, data at rest and in motion, and data models including Conceptual, Logical and Physical views.
  • Fully understands strategies and guidelines around the designation of Authority Roles for Systems of Record and Authorized Redistributors (SOR/AR) for data offerings.
  • Directs and approves the development of business requirements for line of business (LOB) specific and enterprise-wide capabilities supporting DQ and communicates such requirements to appropriate technology teams via key business requirements, or related means including agile methodology.
  • Responsible for providing leadership and direction to one or more scrum teams and will hold end-to-end responsibility for the product owned.
  • Complete customer and industry research to test hypotheses, identify consumer pain points and validate potential solutions.
  • Collaborate with a talented group of designers to define the product requirements into wireframes and high-fidelity designs.
  • Translate research and product metrics into hypotheses, product requirements and detailed user stories.
  • Lead the product through the various gates, including operations, fraud, risk, legal and compliance.
  • Partner with engineering to prioritize the roadmap, work through challenges, and build, test, launch and optimize the new product experience.
  • Continuously track key metrics and validate the success of the product/features, while creating new hypotheses to kick-start the lifecycle again.
  • Develops training programs to assist LOB groups in utilization and adoption of tooling capabilities addressing DQ.
  • Oversees data integration and metadata migration activities and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for DQ tooling functionality delivery.
  • Approves moderately complex dashboards and reports to satisfy management oversight of DQ within the rollout of the Data Operating Model (DOM).
  • Applies comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures around Enterprise Data Taxonomy and Controlled Vocabularies within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
  • Works with Project Management Office (PMO) to maintain, create and signoff of program plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue log.
  • Escalates program risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate.
  • Monitors vendor performance and ensures actions are taken if performance warrants.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Product management experience with a leading tech company, an early/growth stage funded start or within a financial services company.
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set, digital savviness, and strategic thinking to deliver a truly innovative lending solution from the ground up.
  • Able think big, challenge the norms and expand our thinking to deliver a lending platform that brings great customer value as well as drives business goals.
  • Sharp; think on your feet, quickly come up with innovative solutions and always one step ahead.
  • Consumer-centric; empathetic towards the customer with the ability to put yourself in their customer's shoes.
  • Obsession for digital products
  • A willingness and appetite to do what it takes to take the product from concept to launch.
  • Distinct analytical background with the ability to find data, identify and run tests, distil the results quickly and turn it into actionable insights.
  • High-level understanding of technical problems and how to break down the work involved in solving them.
  • Certified Information Management Professional with emphasis on Data Governance and/or Data Stewardship or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency and understanding of DAMA-DMBOK Data Management Body of Knowledge or similar Data Governance approaches.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Great team member and partner.

Education

  • Bachelor’s / University degree / Master’s degree or equivalent experience
