Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leads electrical design activities
- Supports project managers in developing scope, schedule, and meeting client expectations
- Accountable for schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks
- Effectively recognizes and communicates scope and design changes
- Produces single-line diagrams, installation details, electric room layouts, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts and grounding, lighting designs, power plans, and Arc Flash / Short-Circuit Current studies
- Provides local, on-site field investigations and construction reviews
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least 4 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering (buildings and electrical systems)
- Knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Knowledge and application of other NFPA codes and industry standards
- Familiarity of design and construction specifications
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Working knowledge of Revit or other 3D BIM software
- Commercial, aviation, and non-federal buildings design experience
- PE (Professional Engineer’s) License
