What You’ll DoWhat You’ll Bring
- Support programs through the entire life cycle including spec development, modeling, prototype builds, test, and production
- Develop CFD and thermal models to simulate system performance of HVAC components to meet system requirements while optimizing for efficiency and cost
- Perform high level system trade offs between different thermal design solutions to optimize for battery life and system cost
- Develop and execute component and subsystem design verification plans and test methods to validate product adherence to requirements
- Fluency in the use of analytical simulation tools for thermal analysis, including Matlab and CFD software
- Experience modeling and testing thermal components, examples include fans, pumps, compressors, fluid connections, heat sinks, heat exchangers
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Strong fundamentals in heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics
- Demonstrable motivation and ability to solve novel, difficult thermal design problems
- CFD Modeling experience
- Passion for renewable energy
