To achieve this goal, theHardware, Infrastructure Management, and Fundamentals Engineering (HIFE)and industry knowledge to envision and implement future technical solutions that will manage andthe Cloud infrastructure.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or above degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • + years of work experience inmanufacturing testsimplemented inenterprise computer, consumer electronics design or hyperscale supply chain systems. Experience with server products is a plus.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Functional Test technical manufacturing facilities or at contract manufacturing site with high-volume production as aMfgTest Engineer, or2+ years’ experience in diagnostic tool or utility development with electronic devices.
  • 2+ years’ hands-on experiencein reviewing test fixture/equipment, including its planning/
  • with Linux operating system. Able to execute debugging or issue commands under Linux.
  • Demonstrated good
  • Working knowledge of computer subsystems,componentinterfaces, add-on boards, electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally across a range of technical disciplines.
  • Ability to take onnewchallenges and communicate across organizational boundaries.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding the design and manufacturing process at the PCBA and enclosure level is a plus.
  • Knowledge of rack level test framework and methodologies.
  • Knowledgeable about SW development flow andproficiencyon any kind of source code control tool
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguities and concepts and realize it to practical process or flows.
  • Familiar with Azure DevOps Services, Business Intelligence tools, or Power Automate tools is a plus.
  • Demonstrated abilities to drive process improvements.
  • Familiar with CPU or GPU test tools, direct experience in incorporating them into manufacturing flows.
  • BIOScoding experience
  • Driver development experience,Linuxor Windows drivers.
  • Software development engineer experience in SQL, C#, C++, Rust, or Python

Development and Sustainability

  • Understands and develops test hardware or software to support the verification of product/usage model functionality.Collaborateswith senior engineers to develop andvalidatetest strategy, product design and methodologies. Consults with engineers to develop andmaintaincore product test content and requirements. Develops test solutions for service international repair with some input from others.
  • Understands how tomonitorproduction yield data for test and product issues while implementing continuous test enhancements to ensure quality of product.Works with senior engineers on root cause remediation with regards to systemic hardware and software/firmware issues found during manufacturing test.
  • Collaborates with senior engineers to minimize test loops by using existing software and hardware tools to debug (and address other quality issues) beforehandoffto verification. Improves capability of products based on their understanding. Works with senior engineers to develop tests for catching manufacturing defects andimprovesreusability of existing tests. Adjusts testutilizationbased on phase of projects with some input from others. Improves effectiveness and efficiency by removing non-value elements from product based on information gathered from process/test-system with some support from others.
  • Understands how to architect test stations using generic building blocks that can be re-used in future test stations. Collaborates with senior engineers to architect manufacturing test methodologies, develop test framework/content and deploy the test solutions in support of technologies and subsystems used in Microsoft products and system integration product development. Understands how and helps to develop future technologies/products.
  • Understands how to meet design specifications and business requirements within his or her area of responsibility by identifying and fixingbugs, andavoiding the introduction of new bugs during engineering verification.Developsplans to verify that systems (i.e., test system integration) are working as intended with some support from others. Implements test cases and verification of whether the solution is meeting manufacturing key performance indicators (KPIs) with some support from others.

Monitoring Progress

  • Develops andmaintainsdocumentationson process and procedures within team and with its internal/external partners with some input from others. Documents the tasks that they and their peersare responsible for.
  • Understands how to developappropriate testprocesses that define "What, Where, and How" to test.Helps to ensureadequate test coverage to prevent escapes. Uses test equipment according to requirements and specifications provided by the factory.Measures test processesin order tomaximize efficiency in daily tasks with some assistance from others.
  • Understands and monitors configuration managementcapacityand capability constraints againstforecastwith some support from others.Collaborateswith manufacturing and sourcing teams to ensure continuity of supply.Helpsto ensure thetimelycommunication of assigned project process through recurring formal presentations of key metrics, project schedules, and action item lists. Includes hardware and software/firmware portions into configuration management, bill of materials, and engineering change order management.Checkstester's health to ensure that it does not break down with some support from others.Helpsconduct maintenance and repairs for a few tester elements.


Partner Management and Collaboration

  • Works with factory, new product introduction (NPI) and dev engineering stakeholders to discuss different dev/test phase scenarios and how they can integrate new tools and automation options based on their understanding of test stages and tool/automation best practices. Works at the factory level at each test stage on the implementation of certain test tools as they build hardware/software into its end-state with some support from others. Helps connect issues from customers/Test Data Centers and correlate that with what is happening at the factory level. Networks with design, validation, and hardware/software teams based on their understanding.
