Duties: Provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications. Provide quick resolutions to application issues, and drive stability, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements to help the business succeed. Maintain application systems that have completed the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm. Manage, maintain, and support applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality, and functionality against service level expectations. Formulate and define scope and objectives for complex application enhancements and problem resolution. Review and develop application contingency planning to ensure availability to users. Partner with appropriate development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements. Participate in application releases, from development, testing, and deployment into production. Engage in post-implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality. Consider implications of the application of technology to the current environment. Identify, risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and two (2) years of Financial Industry experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation. Two (2) years of experience must include: Providing subject matter expertise with regards to Application Services and Stability; Utilizing Java programming to analyze error exceptions such as reviewing the stack trace and debugging Java code level errors; Writing and debugging basic Shell and Python Script to set up active housekeeping Autosys jobs, monitor server disk usage, and configure application health checks; Utilizing SQL and NoSQL to perform data analyses in reported inquiries and data quality checks; Utilizing Apache Kafka architecture, setting up clusters and topics, and optimizing configurations for high throughput and fault tolerance; Managing Unix/Linux operating systems to handle applications deployments and process monitoring and configurations in cloud environment; Utilizing Postman advanced features to validate comprehensive REST API responses, simulate various scenarios to debug issues, and identify root cause; Implementing ELK Stack for comprehensive log analysis and visualization and identifying manual touch points and eliminating by automating the tasks to reduce manual dependency; Leveraging OpenShift platform to orchestrate and perform capacity management, deployment efficiency, and troubleshooting; and Monitoring using tools such as ITRS and AppDynamics and follow ServiceNow Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes. 40 hrs./wk.
