The Risk & Control Analyst is a key role which supports the governance framework to ensure a robust control environment across all Bank Network Management (BNM) global functions through coordination of risk related deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Management Control Assessment (MCA)
- Maintain BNM’s MCA Inventory in Citi Risk & Controls.
- Assess residual risk above risk appetite and work with Senior Leadership team to establish controls and monitoring methods to effectively mitigate the risk to an acceptable level either through corrective action plans, amendments to control design or risk acceptance.
- Coordinate Continuous Risk Management reviews and annual risk completeness reviews with BNM management (control owners) and host reviews with business stakeholders/partners, as needed.
Control Effectiveness Monitoring
- Control Test: Perform ongoing control monitoring, independent control testing and produce management oversight control reporting. Determine enhancements needed based on changes within BNM functions
- Maintain Control Monitoring documentation including annual review and ad-hoc reviews to ensure scripts reflect up to date process and are effective.
Regulations Management Oversight
- Coordinate Regulation Applicability reviews and Impact Assessments with process owners to ensure regulations are well understood and relevant processes are compliant.
Issue Management Coordination
- Assist Issue Owners to help manage issues to resolution through collecting management progress updates, perform system inputs, and facilitating checkpoint meetings as needed.
Ideal background:
- 1-2 years of experience in areas related to internal control, external or internal audit, compliance, risk management
- Bachelor’s or University degree
- Fluent English knowledge with excellent communication skills
- Strong PowerPoint and intermediate Excel skills
- Working knowledge of Citi Risk & Controls (MCA modules)
- Research, analysis, and inquisitive skills
- Conceptual, practical thinking and judgment skills
- Good presentation, communication, facilitation skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
