- Establishes and oversees the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
- Utilizes subject matter expertise in intelligence, geopolitical, and technology tradecraft.
- Assess risk and drive actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
- Targets the high level, high impact related threats to Citi's Franchise and Clients with the aim of enhancing the effectiveness of managing operational risks across products, business lines and regions.
- Assesses the comprehensiveness and effectiveness of Citi’s current first line defenses.
- Evaluates and develops publications and briefs of multi-source analytical reports to introduce an independent viewpoint on threat issues impacting Citi.
- Produced intelligence reports, forecasts and scenarios for senior executive intelligence briefings on relevant threat issues.
- Examines tactics, techniques, and procedures of threat actors and control environments of targeted entities to assess the risk to Citi, clients, and partners.
- Manages internal projects on threat issues that support a variety of participants and stakeholders measuring the effectiveness and comprehensiveness of Citi’s first line defenses.
- Challenges criteria, tools and methodologies used for threat intelligence and threat analysis.
- Partners and develops working-level external information sharing relationships with other members of the financial sector, government agencies, and corporate intelligence entities
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years relevant experience • Awareness of developments within risk space.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.
- Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
