We are seeking someone who is to learn, and be ready to use a wide range of software and development tools required to perform the job in Python, Java, container-based development, SageMaker, PyTorch, PyTorch Lightning, Langchain, etc.Your work should consistently be of high quality (e.g., secure, testable, maintainable, low-defects, efficient, etc.) and incorporate best practices. You should identify, follow, and enforce high development standards, working alongside Sr. SDEs.As an SDEII, You should be able to work fairly independently using the above-mentioned tools, while also working with various stakeholders and partners, such as Applied Scientists, Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, Software Development Managers, Solution Architects, and Doc writers. You should be able to integrate new software components into partner codebases, while understanding and incorporating all required concerns, including roadblocks. You should understand distributed system design patterns and be able to apply them in existing and emerging ML domains with limited guidance from Sr. SDEs.Key job responsibilities
• Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
• Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
