As an Advanced Systems Engineer at Honeywell, in Brno, CzechRepublic, you will be responsible for airborne system development, allowing youto specialize in an exciting niche within the aerospace engineering field andbuild up unique subject domain expertise (flight recorders – cockpit voicerecorders and flight data recorders), which in past helped to shape and improvesafety of air traffic.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office, 2 from home.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with external customers (airlines) on daily basis.
• Deliver Recorders services (transcription, inspection) to customers.
• Translate customer requirements into system specifications.
• Develop and own the recorders data maps for different aircraft platforms (single isle as well as wide body)
  Participate on service offerings, prepare proposals.
• System requirements development, Requirements verification, Process Assurance.
• Work with development team to implement new features in our Recorders Services offering.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvements of the process, development methodologies, and products.
• Ensure compliance with applicable processes, manage reporting (metrics), process improvement and updating documentations.
• Participate in defining long term strategies and products roadmap.
• Supporting various activities impacting flight recorders – EUROCAE ED-112A working groups, ARINC sessions.

Key skills and qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related
• Experience with ARINC429, ARINC717, ARINC767 or similar
• Experience with coding, scripting
• Proven work experience in the aerospace, automotive or similar industry - systems design experience or real time system & software
• Strong communication skillset (to be used when talking to external customers)
• Fluency in English (B2 as a minimum)
• Independent and fast learner, strong team player with a proactive mindset
