In this role, you will:
- Lead complex, large-scale model maintenance, optimization, and planning initiatives related to operational processes, controls, reporting, testing, implementation, and documentation
- Review and analyze complex multi-faceted model operations and optimization challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors
- Develop model processes and optimization strategies for short- and long-term objectives; support and provide insights regarding a wide array of business initiatives
- Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of agile development
- Influence global assessment of model maintenance schedules inclusive of engineering, structure, and scope of review following the System Development Life Cycle process, quality, security, and compliance requirements
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of quantitative model solutions or quantitative model operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Perform various complex activities related to predictive modeling.
- Provide analytical support for development, remediation, and monitoring of Deposit & PPNR, Operational, Liquidity Risk, Financial Crimes models
- Support development, implementation, execution and monitoring of Regulatory models such as Basel, CECL, and CCAR models
- Develop dynamic dashboards; analyze key risk parameters to help understand changes in business and model performance
- Identify opportunities and deliver process improvements, standardization, rationalization and automations. Enhance and standardize performance analysis, reporting packages and business loss forecast processes
- Maintain documentation for development, implementation and monitoring of processes across the team with focus on standardization of control
- Ability to identify and manage complex issues and negotiate solutions within a geographically dispersed organization
- Possess an execution-driven mindset to hold team accountable for results. Sets clear goals and follows up on progress.
- User-focused mindset with the intent to solve forecasting and risk problems rather than solely focusing on technical purity.
- Familiarity with Deposit modeling, income & expense modeling, Funds Transfer Pricing, Stress Testing, and Forecast/Planning
- Familiarity with programming in Python, SAS, R, and SQL.
- Familiar with modeling techniques such as regularization (e.g. LASSO), Error-correction models, ARIMA, discrete-time survival models, and Panel regressions.
- Experience with model risk management policies and procedures
- Experience working with US regulations, in particular the OCC and FRB
- Familiar with concepts/theory behind money creation and demand
- Conceptual understanding of interest rate and yields curve models
Job Expectations:
