Major Responsibilities:
Performs complex administrative support activities related to Time and Labor processes, including scheduling, and monitoring the Time Administration process; creates and runs ad hoc queries; runs Time Administration and Time and Labor reports; and resolves complex errors.
Performs Time and Labor troubleshooting and support activities, including resolvingconfiguration-relatedtime exceptions; coordinating resolution of audit discrepancies and resolves time exceptions.
Performs a variety of Time and Labor system set-up, configuration, and maintenance activities, including performing audits of the payable time load for overages and exceptions; maintaining Time & Labor enrollment for work groups, task groups, and comp time plans; maintaining employee schedules; communicates and executes annual and fiscal year Time and Labor processes.
Reviews and maintains employee record details in the Timekeeping system for status update exceptions.
Works with AMAT Payroll Processing staff on payable time load and coordinates with workers, supervisors, and managers on required last-minute updates and audit discrepancy resolution.
Performs a variety of special projects and assignments related to the Time & Labor aspects of development and maintenance, including testing patches and fixes, developing specifications for required reports and/or Time and Labor rules.
Develops training and resource materials for Payroll department internal use as well as for Applied employee and manager use.
Key Competencies:
Functional knowledge of automated timekeeping systems including Timekeeping system configuration rules and testing
Knowledge of various Accruals policies and calculations
Understands HR Policies and how to apply to the Time and Labor systems
Principles and practices of program implementation
Solid knowledge of Federal and State Wage and Hour Laws
Thorough knowledge of the end-to-end Payroll processes and service delivery model
Ability to analyze problems with detail and accuracy, keep complex records, assemble, and organize data, and prepare reports from such data
Communication skills including ability to communicate with remote work force across the US.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a major in accounting or finance or equivalent combination of education and experience
2 - 4 years of experience in payroll and timekeeping functions in a complex, multi-state organization
Workday experience preferred
Time and labor implementation experience
Proficient skills with Microsoft Office applications
CPP preferred
Technical writing skills
Experience with comprehensive payroll outsourced model or outsourced time and labor model
Work schedule – requires swing shift every other Monday to support biweekly Payroll
