Supports the Regional Director and Commercial Excellence Director in:
- Developing and managing Booking.com’s annual and quarterly regional strategy, objective- and target setting;
- Monitoring (product) performance and driving action plans to continuously improve the Partner Services department in their region, as well as uncovering opportunities for the region at large;
- Managing the implementation of regional and global initiated changes, in order for them to land smoothly in the regional operation;
- Project lead selected strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibility
- Continuously analyze regional commercial and operational performance to reach quarterly and/or annual targets and suggest opportunities to improve performance (to RD, CED and/or MD as well as to HQ). Optimize target setting of operational metrics in cooperation with central PS.
- Continuously provide support and business insights to improve products, tools, reports and processes, including the related change management activities to land the change in the region in line with the business needs.
- Uncover and pitch business opportunities / strategy to tangible action plans. To help define & continuously drive the planning and execution of performance strategy/tactics for the region to enable the operational success of our PS Operations.
- Assistance with the creation of a Change and Implementation plan and priorities for Regional Partner Services in collaboration with relevant Global PS, Chains, Regional Managers and Regional Directors.
- Owner and fostering of Commercial Excellence methodologies, frameworks, processes, tools, organization, and governance, incorporating continuous improvement with key stakeholders.
- An active part of the Global Partner Services and Global Commercial Excellence Department, where you contribute with peers and global teams on projects and initiatives aimed at positioning Booking.com solidly in a fast-changing environment while representing regional priorities.
- May lead a team of Product Performance Managers to achieve set targets/objectives.
- Influence and cooperate with Product Teams and Central Partner Services to develop solutions (e.g. pricing, selection, policies and payments) by analysing and specifying the needs of local teams and regional channels that will increase regional performance as well as operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements of special knowledge/skills
- Thorough knowledge of hotel industry and accommodation partners and industry specific distribution models.
- Thorough knowledge of B.com products and commercial and operational processes
- Experience in a similar job level (Area Manager) and strong communication skills.
- Strong commercial focus and prioritization skills
- Translate business needs into business opportunities which can be executed in small steps, and prioritize them according to business value and impact.
