As a Vice President in the Payments Operations team, you will be responsible for the leadership of the Payments Operations team in Sydney. You will ensure all payments are handled within internal and external cut offs & standards. Also, you will instill a culture of controls, where all critical processes are checked and measured daily and ensure the team adhere to the Bank’s payments related policies.

- Adhere the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for the Operations Team.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 15 years’ experience within a banking operations environment
- Must be an expert of SWIFT payment messages and should possess good knowledge of ISO20022.
- Must have experience in managing Australia and New Zealand Transaction Banking products.
- Sound knowledge of Payments including High Value Clearing, Low Value Clearing, Cheques Clearing, BPAY and Real Time Payments.
- Project management experience included process flow/design, documentation and implementation.
- Knowledge of Regulatory Reports for Australia and New Zealand, like, IFTI (International Financial Transaction Instructions) and PTR (Prescribed Transaction Report).
- Experience in dealing with interbank enquiries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare senior executive style presentations
- Sound knowledge of Domestic and Cross Border Payments.
- Sound knowledge of Reconciliation and General Ledger processes and policies
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Adept in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skill
- Sound knowledge of banking products, low value clearing systems and high value domestic and international (including FX) payment processing and clearing would be preferable
