About the Role

We are hiring a Product Designer II for our Rider Verticals Design Team.

• This is a Product Design / User Experience Design position on the Rider Design team
• This position is based in San Francisco, CA, out of Uber HQ in Mission Bay.
• This designer will work on Uber’s autonomous vehicle experiences across mobile and tablet to help grow the discovery and usage of autonomous vehicles on the Uber platform.

What You Will Do

Scope:Work on projects of all sizes, from problems that are well-known to those more complex and conceptual, while leading a roadmap in your product area

Craft:Deliver designs that are innovative and elegant, buildable and scalable, and are thoroughly documented. Have a strong understanding of business, data, and engineering requirements, and create experiences that deliver customer value.

Prioritize and manage your time efficiently, operate with high autonomy, and easily adapt to challenges.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of product design experience
• Experience building products for mobile apps, tablets, and web interfaces

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference for experience with car, vehicle, or autonomous vehicle technologies or user interfaces
• Experience building products for mobile apps, tablets, and web interfaces
• Proficiency with Figma or similar tools and prototyping methods
• Experience working with user experience researchers and various methods of research
• Experience working and collaborating in a tech environment
• A degree in HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field
• A portfolio showing your high-quality, thoughtful UI and UX work

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$152,000 per year - USD$169,000 per year.
