Job Purpose

The Strategic Analytics team is responsible for product and customer analytics, company-wide data uniformity, data consolidation and senior executive requested analyses. The Quantitative Financial Analyst - Strategic Analytics position will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and performing companywide analytical initiatives. You will be responsible for assisting the global Sales teams to analyze and maintain ICE’s Market Maker rebate programs in the futures and options markets. Serving as the primary liaison between Sales, Finance teams, and the supporting software-development teams, you will lead and coordinate the translation of program definitions into system configurations and other technical requirements, to calculate and distribute monthly rebate payments.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with F&O Sales on upcoming Market Maker programs and updates.
  • Evaluate program compatibility with existing systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with Sales to refine and enhance proposals when initial suggestions lack technical feasibility.
  • Communicate new feature requirements to Technology teams.
  • Validate program metrics with Exchange Finance in test and live settings.
  • Facilitate production rollout with Exchange Finance and Technology teams.
  • Deliver actionable results through data analytics and summarize complex research concisely.
  • Identify solutions to unique challenges across a variety of businesses.
  • Independently identify strategic needs and support business leads with strategy execution.
  • Collaboratively manage efforts and expectations, ensuring alignment.
  • Interact with stakeholders to define needs, track project status, and manage engagement.
  • Formulate data-driven approaches to solve novel problems and drive measurable results.
  • Provide management visibility and insights for business improvement.
  • Drive a culture of experimentation using proven methodologies.
  • Actively seek to understand and optimize the fundamental business, influencing positive outcomes.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years in Finance, Software Engineering, or quantitative fields.
  • Degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
  • Appreciates startup culture within a large corporate environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages; knowledge of R and SQL a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in presentation and influencing decision-making.
  • Valuable experience in futures, derivatives, trading, or exchange industries.
  • Resourceful and adaptable in dynamic, unstructured settings.
  • Eager to continuously learn and embrace new concepts and technologies.
  • Team player with a commitment to both individual and group goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, well-organized, with a strong focus on analytical and problem-solving abilities.

This role offers work from home flexibility of 1 day per week.
