RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform analytical testing on materials and process streams from R&D laboratory and pilot plants and manufacturing following internal procedures and industry guidelines.
- Responsible for setting up instruments, analyzing samples, conducting data quality checks and entering results into laboratory information system (LIMS).
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Communicate with customers on analysis progress and results.
- Participate in method development and equipment troubleshooting activities.
The annual base salary range for this position is $52,500-$65,700. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. MUST HAVE
- Associate's degree in a scientific discipline, or 2+ years of experience in laboratory or chemical field
WE VALUE
- Degree in Chemistry or related discipline (Biochemistry, Biology, etc).
- Experience with laboratory analyses using gas chromatography (GC), wet chemistry, titration, or organic or physical property (flashpoint or cloud point) testing techniques, viscosity, etc.
- Scientific writing and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of ASTM or UOP methods and UOP materials and processes
- Knowledge of and adherence to laboratory safety protocols.
