Advanced Analyst - EMS (Engagement Management Services) Team in EY is responsible for providing key operational support to the Tax and Accounting practices which EY provides to its multinational clients.
- EMS offers the ease of managing clients (also referred to as Engagements within EY) in the following manner:
- Providing Operations management support on complex regulatory affairs across multiple jurisdiction
- Managing the end to end Engagement lifecycle management process and reporting standards
- Providing project management support and controlling the cost of managing compliance across various regions/countries
- Responsible for ensuring smooth delivery as per agreed SLA’s
Operational Support and Reporting:
- Work closely with a Senior to provide day to day engagement management support for client (s)
- Support client teams in Americas, EMEIA and APAC in providing timely and accurate information of the engagement to the client headquarters
- Provide situational analysis and solutions for mitigating issues & risks in an engagement
- Effectively liaise with EY professionals preparing the fillings in countries & client teams
- Understand the functioning of the engagement tools and usage involved in global service delivery
- Ensure engagement management tools are maintained real time for client headquarters to access and understand tax and accounts filling status across the globe
- Modify tools to reflect status of the engagement real time by working with the local country teams
- Understand queries from client facing teams and work with local EY professionals for solutions
- Review engagement deliverables and coach staff members on best practices
- Work along with Seniors, Leadership, and onshore teams to report metrics and data as required
Project Coordination & Control:
- Monitor and control activities leading up to fulfilment of compliance and reporting obligations of the of practices across countries
- Monitor engagement status, issues and potential risks that can impact engagement
- Work with global teams to understand the status of the filings for client(s)
- Understand processes and dependencies in meeting obligations of the filings in countries
- Provide engagement status on a periodic basis highlighting risks and issues and achievements
- Identify service delivery and process gaps which can be fixed to improve service delivery
People aspects
- Handle a portfolio of clients and a team of associates & advanced associates
- Monitor and flag engagement and people issue to local and engagement leadership
- Act as the SPOC for the respective client teams and escalations point of contact
- Work with Global Engagement Managers and Coordinators to ensure engagements are managed effectively and efficiently
- Responsible for the customer satisfaction scores of the portfolio by managing service delivery expectations of clients
- Identify training gaps for self and team and work with leadership to bridge gaps
- Network with offshore teams to create and maintain good relationship
Skills and attributes to qualify for the role
- We are looking for candidates with the following:
- 2 to 4 years of total work experience
- Understanding of backend financial processes of a company
- Bachelors or Master’s degree, preferably Finance, Commerce, Math, Computer Science, Engineering or Business Management
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural and team environment
- CAPM/CSUM or similar project management certification is preferrable
- Proficiency with D&A tools like Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau is desirable
- Proficiency with VBA Macro is desirable
You will need to:
- Have excellent communication skills - both written and oral
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and structured thinking abilities
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Demonstrate an eye for detail
- Be flexible and willing to adjust responsibilities to align with developing business needs
- Proficiency in MS Project is desirable
- Be proficient in Word/PowerPoint/Excel
