As the Senior Director of Business Ops & Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic vision, managing the operating budget, and driving risk responsible growth opportunities across Global Fraud Prevention (GFP). In addition, you will act as a liaison for the whole organization, develop and execute a performance measurement framework, and aid in driving organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop strategic priorities, aligning GFP initiatives to PayPal goals driving responsible growth, efficiency, and effectiveness

  • Develop and execute on GFP’s long-term strategic plan, enhancing PayPal’s risk posture to become incredibly proactive and adaptive
  • Partner with senior leadership to define long-term and short-term goals, define corresponding OKRs and metrics aligning GFP objectives to company priorities
  • Oversee industry best practices and peer-benchmarking analyses to identify strategy and performance opportunities across GFP
  • Catalogue and revamp business processes, workflows, and workforce allocation to attain cutting-edge efficiency and productivity across GFP
  • Create consistent enterprise tracking for GFP initiatives, providing real-time visibility and transparency to all stakeholders and leadership
  • Act as budget and spend management planning and adherence oversight – covering the scale of hundreds of team members and tens of millions in annual operating spend.
  • Manage operating routines that facilitate decision-making, autonomy, leadership alignment, and team engagement, inclusive of staff meetings, operational reviews, leadership off sites, All Hands, etc. Set the agenda, participate in the meetings, document decisions, and communicate outcomes
  • Drive engagement across GFP including team member communication channels, including town halls and organizational newsletters.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to functional teams, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of strategic planning, product management or operations relevant experience in a large-scale, heavily matrixed global business or a hyper-growth startup.

  • Subject matter expertise in fraud prevention and extensive knowledge of the financial ecosystem
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive business growth and profitability
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially with storyboarding and deck writing for diverse audiences
  • Data-driven and highly organized with excellent project management skills.
