Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Principal Software Engineer – Full Stack (Multiple openings) in Irving, TX.
Manage full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by analyzing, designing, testing, developing, and maintaining best-in-class full stack software with a focus on React software that adheres to U.S Bank standards and meet World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards. Specific job duties include: (1) designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining user interfaces using ReactJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, Ajax, and Angular; (2) taking full stack ownership of software by consistently writing production-ready and performing Unit, Regression, Integration, and User Acceptance testing; (3) owning full-stack processes, from code to deployment, ensuring robustness through comprehensive testing; (4) creating optimal design adhering to architectural best practices, considering scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs; (5) conducting code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures; (6) ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices; (7) exhibiting focus in software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards; (8) embracing emerging technology opportunities and contributing to the best practices in support of the bank’s technology transformation; (9) mentor junior software engineers, as needed; (10) making sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront and taking feedback from code review and applying changes to meet standards; and (11) enforcing compliance with development and security standards through rigorous code reviews and adherence to best practices in software engineering. Uses the following tools and technologies: JavaScript, ReactJS, Angular, JQuery, CSS, SCSS, HTML, Ajax, NextJS, Redux, Flux, Context API, Apollo Client, Axios, WCAG 2.0, Webpack 4 and above, JSON, Jenkins, NodeJS, Cloudbees, Babel, Webpack, Docker, Kubernetes, GraphQL, TypeScript, SDLC, W3C, and NPM.
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Software Engineering, and 24 months of software engineering or development experience.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) designing software that meet W3C standards using JQuery, JSON, and Ajax. (2) Developing user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. (3) Developing React components through full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). (4) Using ReactJS, Backbone JS, and Angular JS frameworks. (5) Performing Unit, Regression, Integration, and User Acceptance testing. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.
