What You’ll Do
The following are some of the roles and responsibilities that the candidate will need to excel at:
- Prepare and execute on the overall vision and strategy for growing U4B’s footprint and business volume across APAC markets with an eye to step changing growth both by acquiring new customers and growing existing customers to full potential.
- You will develop and execute a comprehensive GTM strategy to drive U4B’s commercial sales growth across APAC markets. This will help with increasing market share, and achieving aggressive revenue growth to deliver substantial growth in the multitude of corporate segments on behalf of the Uber user base.
- Consistently deliver against both short term regional and market P&L results, direct sales targets and strategic initiatives required to achieve long term objectives.
- Be a player-coach, taking an active role in landing key regional and global accounts in APAC.You will be comfortable in Sales and Account management conversations alike and be able to role model best practice to the teams.
- Work with cross functional teams across Operations, Strategy & Planning, Marketing, SalesOps, CommOps, Product, Tax, Treasury and Policy to achieve U4B’s objectives in APAC - from unlocking new markets and launching new products to ensuring the value proposition is compelling to each market’s opportunities and nuances.
- Provide inputs and help shape the global roadmap of products and solutions for the business, advocating for APAC region specific requirements.
- Ensure that U4B’s customer experience is optimal, with effective support being provided across Account Management and CommOps for key strategic customers. Actively engage in building programmatic solutions to constantly surprise & delight in the customer experience.
- Be an ambassador for the business and participate in relevant industry forums and conferences advocating Uber’s role in shaping the future of work coupled with U4B’s suite of products and solutions.
- Partner with leaders and HR to drive world class organizational effectiveness (guiding organizational structure, hiring processes and team engagement). Hire top level talent into various functional roles in the region.
- Contribute and actively participate as a key member of the U4B Global Leadership Team.
What You’ll Need
- Around 15 years of work experience, including time spent in strategic and operational roles, supported by a history of delivering clear results.
- Strong track record of building, leading and engaging diverse teams. With a depth in sales and client management experience.
- Lead with empathy and discipline; with the ability to understand, coach and inspire highly motivated direct sales teams in achieving ambitious sales targets.
- Strong people management skills - you set the tone for your team; driving towards results while also being empathetic to their challenges - high EQ is must-have
- Disciplined organizational skills - you'll need to prioritize and manage numerous ongoing processes and projects simultaneously
- Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication skills enabling effective decision making within your direct team and with stakeholders, senior leadership.
- Very efficient at working in a matrixed environment with cross functional stakeholders.
- An appetite for taking smart risks in a fast moving, competitive and often ambiguous environment.
