What we’re looking For

As a Functional Verification Application Support Engineer, you will be the first point of contact of our customers. You will leverage your technical expertise to understand and resolve customer issues. Working directly with customers, you will support them in effectively using our tools to achieve their goals. When problems arise, you will seek possible workarounds, communicate these issues to our internal R&D team, and collaborate with them to provide the customer with a fix. Additionally, you will partner with our Field Application Engineers to conduct evaluations and demonstrations of our tools at customer sites, and act as a liaison for customer needs by submitting enhancement requests to ensure our tools best meet customer needs.

What you’ll be doing

  • Troubleshooting technical obstacles affecting customer productivity when using Siemens EDA software.
  • Tracking and updating customer issues using Siemens EDA’s processes and tracking tools.
  • Developing and delivering technical training on new features and product updates
  • Creating technical content for Siemens EDA’s knowledgebase.
  • Communicating customers’ technical requirements as well as their priority and impact, to influence the product team in order to meet customer needs and shape product direction.
  • Building positive technical relationships with customers, sales teams, and product engineering teams.
  • Collaborating with customers and sales teams to ensure the mutual success of all engagements.
  • Performing early access testing and working with R&D to improve product quality and capabilities.

What you’ll bring

  • Significant experience in implementing ASIC or FPGA hardware design and verification (simulation)
  • A solid understanding of VHDL/Verilog and SystemVerilog for ASIC or FPGA design and verification is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Verification Planning and Management methods (UVM)
  • Familiarity with Siemens EDA tools such as Questa or other similar RTL Verification tools.
  • Experience in a Linux environment.
  • Familiarity with constrained-random testing, assertions (PSL or SV), static formal verification methods, clock domain crossing verification, LINT, and formal design checking methods is desirable.
  • Experience in a support role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of C/C++ programming
  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Technical Diploma in Electronic Engineering
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills enabling the quick establishment of rapport and credibility with customers, sales teams, and product teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment.
